    Edd Carter is a registered social work and qualified Approved Mental Health Professional with a practice background in working with people who have learning disabilities and in mental health settings. He is an Associate Professor in Social Work Practice at Middlesex University leading a range of social work qualifying programmes. Edd’s research and practice interests include social work pedagogy, mental health practice and social work epistemologies.Cherie Carlton is a social worker and educator with nearly thirty years’ experience across the UK and Australia. She is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at Middlesex University, where she oversees a national social work programme and develops innovative, accessible teaching. Her career spans child protection, mental health, and national training initiatives, and she is known for championing lived experience, social justice, and reflective practice.
