Crystal Palace is a special club, deeply embedded in South London it has always been as much about community as football. That's why it was so devastating when the club went into administration in 2010. Saved from relegation and likely liquidation on the last day of the season by a single point, they re-established themselves as a Premier League stalwart over the following 15 years.Then, the unbelievable happened. In 2024/25, Palace defeated the much-favoured Man City to win the FA Cup - the first major trophy in their history, which also proved the magic of the cup is still alive. Just 12 months later inspirational manager Oliver Glasner had done it again, leading the team to its first ever European trophy.Then, the inevitable happened. The biggest of big clubs came knocking for star players like Olise, Eze and Guehi, and it wasn't long until Glasner too was gone. It's the end of a special era.
