    Beskrivning

i've always said that faith is like a house that you keep extending and modernising' - The Reverend Kate BottleyWith her trademark wit, hospitality and open-mindedness, let the Reverend Kate Bottley guide you through the Christian year – season by season, month-by-month – celebrating the people and moments that have shaped the Christian faith, and creating simple, meaningful rituals at home and within your community. With everyday practical advice and wisdom gathered from Kate's years as an ordained vicar and her personal reflections, this is a book to help you deepen your connection with faith. From chalking the door post on the Twelfth Night (even the dog gets involved in Reverend Kate’s home!) and the importance of King Cake through to feast of St Bernadette and harvest celebrations, The Faith Almanac touches on the history of the faith, giving context for followers today. Starting with Epiphany, each month contains explanations of the key religious ceremonies, holy days and Kate's advice around big life events such as birth and baptisms, marriage, funerals. And with entries on International Women's Day, the key touch points of Holy Week, Pride month, back-to-school, Advent and Christmas, there is something for everyone in these pages. Beautifully illustrated and full of Kate's warmth and personality, whether you’re new to or an active member within Christian community, all are welcome here.
