Aftershock Review

The Aftershock Review: Issue One launches a bold new poetry magazine dedicated to what comes after rupture: grief, illness, trauma, survival, recovery, love and the strange work of beginning again. Described by The Guardian as "a jolt to the mainstream," The Aftershock Review brings together established and emerging poets writing from the aftermath without tidying it up. Issue One sets out the magazine's founding vision: poetry that speaks with urgency, tenderness and formal courage about damaged bodies, altered minds, queer life, addiction, loss, hope, rage and repair. Restless, compassionate and alive, this debut issue introduces one of the most distinctive new poetry magazines in the UK.
