Psychosis and Our Other Madnesses: A Pocket Aftershock from The Aftershock Review is a compact anthology of poems exploring psychosis, altered states, mental illness, survival and the languages we use when ordinary language begins to fail. Edited in the spirit of The Aftershock Review's survivor-led ethos, this Pocket Aftershock gathers work that speaks with urgency, tenderness and complexity about minds under pressure. These poems resist simplification. They make room for fear, strangeness, stigma, vision, crisis, care and recovery. Dirty Laundry: A Pocket Aftershock from The Aftershock Review is a sharp, intimate anthology of poems about what is hidden, exposed, washed, worn, inherited and survived. Drawing on The Aftershock Review's commitment to poetry from the aftermath, this Pocket Aftershock brings together poems of domestic life, shame, secrecy, desire, family, class, body, memory and repair. These are poems that understand the private world as politically charged, emotionally dangerous and unexpectedly alive. Bold, funny, tender and unsettling, Dirty Laundry turns towards the things usually kept out of sight and asks what happens when they are finally aired.

The Aftershock Review: Issue Three is bigger, stranger, riskier and more tender: a major new issue from the poetry magazine described by The Guardian as "a jolt to the mainstream." Featuring an ambitious range of established and emerging poets, Issue Three moves through grief, illness, recovery, addiction, queerness, class, desire, ecological dread, family, survival and the unstable architectures of hope. The poems gathered here do not look away from rupture. They ask what it means to live after it, inside it, and sometimes because of it. Expansive, urgent and emotionally exacting, Issue Three confirms The Aftershock Review as one of the most distinctive new poetry magazines in the UK.

The Aftershock Review: Issue One launches a bold new poetry magazine dedicated to what comes after rupture: grief, illness, trauma, survival, recovery, love and the strange work of beginning again. Described by The Guardian as "a jolt to the mainstream," The Aftershock Review brings together established and emerging poets writing from the aftermath without tidying it up. Issue One sets out the magazine's founding vision: poetry that speaks with urgency, tenderness and formal courage about damaged bodies, altered minds, queer life, addiction, loss, hope, rage and repair. Restless, compassionate and alive, this debut issue introduces one of the most distinctive new poetry magazines in the UK.

The Aftershock Review: Issue Two continues the work of the poetry magazine described by The Guardian as "a jolt to the mainstream." Following the success of Issue One, this second issue gathers powerful new poems of grief, illness, mental health, memory, recovery, ecological anxiety, queerness, desire, family and survival. Across lyric, narrative, experimental and formally restless work, Issue Two expands the world of The Aftershock Review: more voices, more risk, more tenderness. These are poems that understand damage not as an ending, but as a place from which language can still begin.

From the million-copy-selling publisher of Candlestick Press and the big heart behind BBC-featured animal sanctuary Manor Farm Charitable Trust, Di Slaney's Hard Graft confronts the reality of mortality after a brain tumour diagnosis in 2019. Ecoshock: A Pocket Aftershock from The Aftershock Review is a compact anthology of contemporary poems responding to ecological crisis, climate anxiety, species loss and the damaged beauty of the living world. Rather than offering simple nature writing, Ecoshock gathers poems that speak from inside the crisis: attentive, grieving, strange, furious, tender and alive to the entanglement of human and non-human lives. These poems do not simply admire the world. They ask what it means to belong to it at a time of rupture. Urgent and lyrical, Ecoshock is a Pocket Aftershock for readers interested in ecopoetry, environmental writing and poetry that refuses to look away. Featuring poets such as Imtiaz Dharker, Clare Shaw, Pascale Petit, Glyn Maxwell.
