Mohammad Aneesul Mehmood, PhD, is Head, Department of Environmental Science at Government Degree College Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from SKUAST-Kashmir, where his doctoral research examined trace elements and heavy metal hazards in the River Jhelum, and he earned a first rank in his Maters Programme. An INSPIRE Fellow and multiple-time UGC-NET, ICAR-NET and JK-SET qualifier, he has published extensively on water quality, heavy metal contamination, and environmental health, and has authored and co-edited over twenty books and edited volumes with publishers including Springer Nature, Elsevier and CRC Press (Taylor & Francis). He is a recipient of the Best Teacher Award (2026) and serves as a reviewer for several international journals. Rouf Ahmad Bhat, PhD, has pursued his doctorate at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir (Division of Environmental Sciences) and presently working in the Department of School Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Bhat has been teaching for the past 09 years. He is an author of more than 55 research articles (h-index 36; i-index 70; total citation 6400) and 50 book chapters, and has published more than 50 books with international publishers (Springer, Elsevier, CRC Press Taylor and Francis, Apple Academic Press, John Wiley, IGI Global). He has his specialization in Toxicology, Phytochemistry, and Phytoremediation. Dr. Bhat has presented and participated in numerous state, national, and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposium. Besides, he has worked as an associate environmental expert in World Bank-funded Flood Recovery Project and also the environmental support staff in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded development projects. He has received many awards, appreciations, and recognition for his services in the field of environmental sciences. He has served as an editorial board member and a reviewer of reputed international journals Gowhar Hamid Dar, PhD, is the Head of the Department of Environmental Science and an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at Government Degree College Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, with specialization in Environmental Microbiology. He has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator of research and development projects sanctioned by the Government of India and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. He has authored and published more than 25 books with international publishers, addressing a wide range of contemporary issues in environmental science and contributing to the dissemination of environmental knowledge at the national and international levels.
