Jim Meehan is one of the most celebrated figures in the drinks industry. Millions of New Yorkers will recognize Chriss “Flying Fish,” displayed by the MTA for over a year in countless underground subway cars.    Jag har redan ett gäng cocktailböcker sedan tidigare och kan utan tvekan säga att detta är den bästa och mest kompletta av dem. Avsaknaden av fotografier skulle väl vara det enda jag saknar. Detta kompenseras dock mer än väl av bl a utmärkta recept, snygga illustrationer och utförliga beskrivningar av hur de driver "please don't tell" i New York City där de tar med detaljer ned till märke på ismaskinerna i källaren, receptet på de egna bitters-blandningarna och sin hemgjorda tonic, val av spritsorter samt deras lista på leverantörer. Jag kan inte sammanfatta det bättre än slutet på förordet. "... I envy the young couple who gets this book as their first serious cocktail guide. They're going to have a good year.".
