ANN CURTHOYS is Manning Clark Professor of History and Head of the History Department at the Australian National University. She is currently Visiting Professor of Australian Studies at Georgetown University, Washington DC. Her publications include For and Against Feminism: A Personal Journey into Feminist Theory and History. BARBARA CAINE is Professor of History at Monash University, Australia. Her publications include Destined to be Wives: The Sisters of Beatrice Webb and she is the General Editor of Australian Feminism: A Companion.
