Social Policy and the Commonwealth

Catherine Jones Finer has been researching cross-national issues in social policy since the 1970s. Principal publications include Immigration and Social Policy in Britain, Patterns of Social Policy, and Promoting Prosperity: The Hong Kong Way of Social Policy. She edits regional issues of the journal Social Policy and Administration. Paul Smyth is Professor of Social Policy at the Centre for Public Policy in the Department of Political Science at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is also General Manager of Research and Policy at the Brotherhood of St Laurence in Melbourne, Australia.
