    Detta är en aktuell, lättillgänglig och välstrukturerad introduktion till neurokirurgin för medicinstuderande och nya underläkare.
    Fokus ligger på att beskriva det neurokirurgiska sjukdomspanoramat och mer specifika ämnen som operationsmetoder, NIVA-vård och postoperativa komplikationer behandlas endast kortfattat.

    En snygg typografi och tydliga tabeller gör det lätt att hitta vad man söker. Det finns gott om välvalda illustrationer, bl a MR- och CT-bilder. De sistnämnda har tyvärr blivit något för mörka i trycket. Kapitlen om ryggkirurgi är något mindre övertygande än resten av boken och innehåller en del kontroversiella råd (om sängvila mm).
    I övrigt känns boken helt pålitlig och kan utan vidare rekommenderas.
