He has written many books and articles and is regularly invited to speak at archaeological conferencesA Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, he is also a Trustee of the Roman Site at Vindolanda and is currently President of the Cumberland and Westmorland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society.

    Nero var inget monster från början. Med en dominerande mor och narcissistisk personlighet är det lätt att flippa ur. Man kan också säga till hans försvar att nästan alla kejsarna i det gamla Rom såg sig tvungna att röja ett antal verkliga eller inbillade fiender ur vägen. En fängslande bok.
