Dr. Emily Stapley is a research fellow in the Evidence-Based Practice Unit (EBPU Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and University College London). Her research interests center on young people amp rsquo s and families amp rsquo experiences of mental health problems, coping and receiving support. Emily has expertise in qualitative and mixed-methods research. Her current research within the EBPU qualitatively explores the experiences of children and adolescents who are in receipt of preventive interventions in school and community settings seeking to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. Dr. Sally O amp rsquo Keeffe is a research fellow in the School of Health Sciences at City, University of London. Sally has worked on clinical trials investigating the effectiveness of psychological interventions, including treatments for depression and self-harm. Sally is particularly interested in the use of mixed methods to explore how interventions work and what works for whom. Her PhD was a mixed methods investigation into psychotherapy dropout in adolescents with a diagnosis of depression. Sally is currently working on a research program to develop a brief psychological intervention for people presenting to emergency departments having self-harmed.Dr. Nick Midgley is Professor of Psychological Therapies with Children and Young People at University College London (UCL) and the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, where he is co-director of the Child Attachment and Psychological Therapies Research Unit (ChAPTRe). He has written and edited many articles and books, including Essential Research Findings in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy (Sage, 2 7) Mentalization-Based Treatment for Children: A Time-Limited Approach (APA, 2 7) and So Young, So Sad, So Listen: A Parent's Guide to Depression in Children and Young People (CUP, 2 2 ).
