    Recensioner i media

“I appreciate Dr. Martell's easy-to-understand suggestions and advice; handy checklists; and calm, reassuring tone. This is a book you can turn to whenever you hit a depression roadblock and need help finding your way to a better place.â€--Bruce C., Amherst, Massachusetts“If depression is affecting your daily life, this book is for you. Dr. Martell has spent decades studying depression and helping people recover. This book offers nitty-gritty tools and guidance to cope with issues that even the best treatments can't always address.â€--Jacqueline B. Persons, PhD, Director, Oakland Cognitive Behavior Therapy Center“As someone with intermittent depression (and a health care professional), I have finally found a book that addresses the ups and downs of living with depression and its impact on everyday functioning. I love Dr. Martell's explanation of 'acting from the outside in' and his simple recommendations--for example, if you can't get out of bed, try just putting your feet on the floor.â€--Georgia M., Bennington, Vermont“This is a book I want for my clients, but also for my friends. The book is filled with practical tips; can be taken in small, manageable pieces; and is a lovely complement to therapy.â€--Debra Kaysen, PhD, ABPP, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University“Dr. Martell helps you develop routines that stabilize your mood, and the focus on working on one thing at time prevents you from feeling overwhelmed. I especially appreciate the advice about living in the present and experiencing the sights, sounds, and other senses of the world around us.â€--Ann K., Hinesburg, Vermont“Dr. Martell is a world-renowned depression expert who presents clear, compassionate, highly practical strategies to help you navigate real-world challenges and live well. Drawing on effective evidence-based treatments, this book is exceptionally useful and empowering.â€--Steven A. Safren, PhD, ABPP, Department of Psychology, University of Miami-
