Having worked as a children's book illustrator since 2008, she loves creating playful characters, interesting compositions and giving emphasis on colour, working often digitally, but also traditionally, with a fresh and whimsical style. Villie gets much inspiration from her cat, and also from life, experiences and dreams. Her favourite children's story is 'The Little Prince', by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Her lifetime ambition, is to own a horse - but she's happy to settle for cat - for the time being!!
