Beskrivning
Doxological Dogmatics calls readers to recover the true end of theology: the worship of the triune God. Daniel Lee Hill and Ty Kieser argue that theology is not merely an academic exercise but an act of praise--an offering that displays God's glory in reverent awe and joyful obedience.Structured in three parts, the book grounds dogmatics in the life and work of God, develops five characteristics of worship-centered theology corresponding to the five senses, and applies this vision to Christology as a test case. Along the way, the authors expose common temptations that distort theological study, and they demonstrate how doctrine rightly pursued leads to transformative praise.Designed for upper-level undergraduate and seminary students, this volume answers a pressing question: Why study doctrine? By reconnecting dogmatics with doxology, the authors help future pastors and scholars see that doing theology is not an abstract exercise but rather an act of worship.
