Wiggins is professor and director of the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism at George Mason University and the editor of Out of the Shadows: A Biographical History of African American Athletes. R. Pierre Rodgers is associate professor in the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism at George Mason University.
