She is recognized as having founded the field of infant long-term memory and is currently funded by the National Institute of Mental Health for research on infant learning and memory. LIPSITT is professor emeritus of psychology, medical science, and human development at Brown University, where he continues as research professor of psychology.HARLENE HAYNE is professor at the department on psychology, University of Otago, New Zealaned.
