Why Doesn't God Do Something?

Why is it that there is so much suffering in the world? Why are the innocent so often victims? Doesn’t God care?

Through the course of over fifty-five years of pastoral ministry, Dr. Ron Higdon has responded to people who came to him with aching hearts and burning questions. It had nothing to do with abandoning their faith, but everything to do with finding a place in that faith for the kinds of questions that would not go away.

With the gentleness of a pastor and the unblinking look of a theologian, the author takes the reader through the questions we all want and need to ask and gives them thorough scrutiny.

In the light of the disparity in the world between God’s love and the pain, suffering, and tragedy all around us, this book offers some new questions and new perspectives. Plus, it concludes with a list of twenty-five strategies of things to remember and some things to do when living in a world where bad things happen.

This book is suitable for individual reading, but will truly shine in small groups of church-wide studies of this important topic.
