   What a delightful and inspiring book! It's not only packed with behind-the-scene ultra-cyclers' Info (as expected), but also with lots of mouth-watering French cuisine, history, folklore, geography, and human interaction. As a "non-cycler," it's a joy to live vicariously through a well-written book, but it's amazing to find a book that also has so many other things to offer! A great read!

   I was drawn to this title as a travel genre enthusiast but quickly became intrigued by details of the ultra-endurance cycling world. Taking the reader along for both the sport (and all that goes into dedicated oneself to it) and the scenery of the beautiful Pyrenees mountains proved to be an enjoyable experience. Not only did I take in all the sights of this mountain range between Spain and France, but I gained some insight about a sport my late friend, John, so enjoyed. Enjoyable and recommended, regardless whether you ride.
