Fairy Tales for Adults Volume 12

Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream opens the volume: a wood, a fairy quarrel, and Bottom among the enchantments. Leskov's The Ghost of the Engineers' Castle follows with a St Petersburg haunting in the Mikhailovsky pile. Puck's comedy beside a castle spectre: two named works, each with its own weather of wonder and chill for adult ears.
