Emerson presses on nature, self-trust, society, and the habit of thinking for yourself. Clear, bracing essays spoken as useful company when you want courage in the mind, not a soft pep talk.

In the beginning, Timon is a wealthy and generous Athenian gentleman. He hosts a large banquet, attended by nearly all the main characters. The Thought of You: a short prayer of regard for someone absent, spoken in English, then Chopin's famous Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9 No. 2, Andante, Anton Kingsbury at the piano. Kierkegaard is named on the title; the hour is still prayer and night music, not a lecture. The Big Nest's simplest sending of thought, then the nocturne dedicated to Marie Pleyel. For distance, illness, a name you cannot ring. Words first; the piano keeps the rest of the room.

A short Christian prayer on the breath, then Chopin. Breathing Deeply in Faith is spoken in English and followed by Anton Kingsbury at the piano: Nocturne in B-flat minor, Op. 9 No. 1, Larghetto - Chopin's first nocturne, unhurried. Scripture held on the inhale; night music on the keys. The Big Nest's prayer-and-piano hour: devotion without a sermonising host, a nocturne that knows how to wait. For a room that wants quiet faith and a real piano, not a pad of strings.

Francis of Assisi's sense of creation, spoken as Prayer of Creation in English, then Chopin's Nocturne in F major, Op. 15 No. 1, Andante cantabile, Anton Kingsbury. Stewardship, wonder, a night piece that sings. The Big Nest keeps the formula honest: words, then piano, no sermon between. For overwhelm, for a reminder that the world is not only noise. A short prayer hour with Chopin's F major nocturne as the second half of the room. Francis's wonder, then the F major night piece.

The Lord's Prayer - Our Father, Pater Noster - spoken in English, then Chopin's Nocturne in F-sharp major, Op. 15 No. 2, Larghetto, Anton Kingsbury. Night piece, reflective, the Big Nest's prayer-and-piano shape. Not a mass setting. A reading of the prayer Jesus taught, then a nocturne that knows darkness without theatrics. For a small room, a habit of words, a piano that follows. Devotion in two parts: speech, then keys.

Make Us Worthy - a prayer for better conduct, spoken in English - then Chopin's Nocturne in G minor, Op. 15 No. 3, Lento, the Hamlet nocturne, played by Anton Kingsbury. Petition, pause, piano. The Big Nest pairs the words with a piece that turns from simple opening to a darker middle. Not a worship album with a band. A reading and a night piece, for stubborn seasons, addiction, or any hour that needs a request and then silence under the keys. Chopin's Hamlet nocturne after the asking.

David's Prayer: strength, guidance, a future asked for in English verse, then Chopin's Nocturne in B major, Op. 32 No. 1, Andantino sostenuto, Anton Kingsbury. Simple opening, contrast after. The Big Nest's psalm-shaped hour - human trouble named, then night piano. Not a church service recording. A reading and a nocturne for anyone who needs a request spoken once, clearly, and music that does not explain it. English devotion with Chopin in the second chair.

The Deep Compassion Prayer is a powerful tool that can be used to help heal ourselves and others. It is based on the principle of compassion, which is the willingness to suffer with another. This prayer can help us to develop more compassion for ourselves and others, and to become more aware of the interconnectedness of all beings.Deep Compassion includes reading of the eponymous prayer followed by beautiful piano music based on original composition of Frederic Chopin. Piano composition includes: Nocturne in A-flat Major, Op. 32 No. 2 - Lento. Long, gracious melody with a balletic middle section characterises this nocturne. It is a beautiful work of dreamy melody and majestic harmony. Simplicity of gesture is of the utmost importance throughout the opening section followed by a stormier, more chromatic middle section. Chopin's minimalist gestures of the beginning elope into generous expanding atmosphere of the nocturne's centre. Chopin dedicated this piece to Madame la Baronne de Billing. Performed by Anton Kingsbury.
