Mollie Dollinger is a higher education researcher at La Trobe University, Australia. She received her PhD from The University of Melbourne's Centre for the Study of Higher Education in 2018. Her research interests include student-staff co-creation in higher education, doctoral education and training, and the student experience.

This book is gold: it captures so much of what I’ve learnt as a doctoral researcher (and wish I’d known!), and then again as a supervisor. Highly recommended for PhD students, whether contemplating the voyage, or well en route. Equally, supervisors should read this as a reminder of the real person in their care, and the opportunities they can open up, or inadvertently close down.
