I just adore this book!!It is informative and supportive about the menopause and it's impact on the lives of women, while offering brilliant sewing support with some lovely projects. The book begins with a definition of what the menopause is and how it effects women in many ways, followed by the personal experiences of the two authors.In addition to guidance on sewing materials, tools, colours, instructions and projects, the book is interspersed with inspirational quotations from powerful women.The book is an A4 hardback edition, and at £20, is excellent value for money. The paper is good quality with lovely, bright photographs to accompany each project, which are suitable for both beginners and more experienced sewists as they battle through ‘brain fog’. Each project is given a title that will resonate with menopausal women, while also adding a little humour as they navigate this complex time of their lives. I particularly like the ‘Memory Loss’ project, which is a ‘Basket For Lost Things’!The projects are both interesting and useful, with clear instructions, recommendations and support. The book also contains a useful envelope at the back which contains pattern sheets that can you can use over and over.Even if you don't make any of the projects, which I am sure you will, it can be read as an inspirational book, with support from strong women.I just loved it.
