Devon Price, PhD, is a social psychologist, professor, author, and proud Autistic person. His research has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and the Journal of Positive Psychology. Devon's writing has appeared in outlets such as the Financial Times, HuffPost, The Los Angeles Times, Slate, Jacobin, Business Insider, LitHub, and on PBS, NPR, MSNBC, and the BBC. He lives in Chicago, where he serves as Clinical Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

    Ovärderlig för autister, männsikorna omkring dem och egentligen alla andra också. Boken förklarar hur autister tvingas "maskera" sina symtom för att överhuvudtaget klara av att navigera sin omvärld. Denna "maskering" är ohållbar i längden och leder till många andra problem som utbrändhet, depression och ångest.
    Har köpt extra kopior för att dela ut till familj och vänner.
    Man får dock ha i åtanke att boken är skriven ur ett amerikanskt perspektiv när den diskuterar vård och politik.
    Ser fram emot uppföljaren, "Unmasking for life".

    This book is more about politics and gender than autism. It contains mostly stories instead of concrete tools helping to unmask. Over all very frustrating to read.
