Kidnapped

David Balfour goes for his due and is sold to the Covenant. Hear Stevenson's Kidnapped unabridged in English: Uncle Ebenezer's house, Alan Breck in the round-house, the Appin murder, the flight in the heather - a Lowland boy's education with wet shoes and a stubborn conscience. Jacobite Scotland as a chase you can run across and still not own. Adventure spoken at a walk, then a run. Highlands after the ship, loyalty after the trap, heather as the school.
