Magdalena Juříková is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Brno. She specialises in modern sculpture, a field in which she worked professionally in various roles at the National Gallery in Prague until 2009. During her time at the National Gallery in Prague, she curated the Czech participation in the Venice Biennale (1993), as well as many more exhibitions under the auspices of the gallery. She has curated corporate and private collections before being appointed Director of Prague City Gallery in 2012. Alongside her role as Director, she has worked on exhibition projects both within and outside Prague City Gallery. She is the author of numerous reviews and articles on modern and contemporary art.
