Bryan Perrett served in the Royal Armoured Corps, the 17th/21st Lancers, Westminster Dragoons and the Royal Tank Regiment, and was awarded the Territorial Decoration. During the Falklands and Gulf wars, he worked as defence correspondent for the Liverpool Echo. A highly successful author, Bryan is married and lives in Lancashire.David E. Smith is a renowned military illustrator with a keen interest in armoured vehicles, who has illustrated a number of titles for Osprey Publishing.Jim Laurier graduated with honours from the Paiers School of Art, Connecticut, in 1978 and has worked as a freelance illustrator ever since. a Fellow member of the American Society of Aviation Artists, the New York Society of Illustrators and the American Fighter Aces Association.
