10th Repple Depple chronicles the history of the 10th U.S. Army Replacement Depot and the American servicemen and women who were based at Whittington Barracks, Lichfield, from 1942 until 1945. Replacement depots housed military reserves, or ‘replacements’, to ensure numbers within fighting units were maintained during combat.During the war, Colonel James A.
