Going to the doctor can be worrying. For people with an intellectual disability, there is the added fear of not being able to explain what's wrong, as well as not understanding what's happening.This book shows Jim and Ann going to the doctor, and explains what happens to them there.Feelings, information and consent are all addressed. Ideally this book should be used to prepare someone before going to their doctor. But it will also be invaluable to General Practitioners and Primary Healthcare workers during consultations and before treatments.
