Norman A. Dolch is Professor of Sociology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He directs the undergraduate American Humanics Program that prepares students for entry level professional positions with youth and human service organizations and also directs the Master of Science in Human Services Administration. Author of numerous articles and chapters in books, he is currently involved in research on nonpofit collaboration and assists many nonprofits with program evaluation and grant writing. He also holds a gratis clinical associate professorship in the Department of Family Medicine and Comprehensive Care at Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport. Linda Deutschmann is Associate Professor at the University-College of the Cariboo in central British Columbia. She is the author of Deviance and Social Control in Canada. Her current work in progress is a text on criminal careers and a monogrph on the reintegration of offenders in the community. She also works with the John Howard Society, an organization devoted to helping those in conflict with the law, their families, and their communities.
