Author Dirk Schadendorf MD is the Director of the Department of Dermatology at the University Hospital Essen, Germany. In his current role, Professor Schadendorf is currently involved in 31 clinical studies. He is the current president of the German DeCOG\(Dermatologic Cooperative Oncology Group) and chair-elect of the well known EORTC Melanoma Group. He has a strong focus on translational research and has published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers. From 2011–2013, she was involved in the development of the German Melanoma Guideline 2013, published by the German Guideline Program in Oncology, where her main responsibilities were the project coordination and methodology Coauthor Elisabeth Livingstone MD is Attending Physician at the Department of Dermatology, University Hospital Essen, Germany. Her main clinical and research activities are in the field of dermatooncology and cutaneous adverse events of new oncological substances. As sub-investigator, she has been involved in several phase II–III trials for melanoma and basal cell carcinoma.
