Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher

Mr. Jeremy Fisher, a frog in a damp house among the buttercups, sets out fishing in his macintosh until a trout takes him and nearly ends the day. Escape brings him home to supper with a newt and a tortoise, appetite and luck sharing the pond. Beatrix Potter's water nursery: buttercups, slippy larder, and a fisherman who likes wet feet.
