Tale of Squirrel Nutkin

This is a tale about a tail: Nutkin the red squirrel, with Twinkleberry and cousins in a wood by a lake, crosses to Owl Island with offerings for Old Brown. Riddles and cheek go too far; the owl catches him, and he escapes leaving the tail behind. Potter's story of nerve, mockery, and a price paid in fur.
