Lo grew up surrounded by puppets, props and craft paraphernalia because his writer-dad and illustrator-mum created children’s television programmes for the BBC. At university Lo was thrown off his illustration course, but when he started working his illustrations were constantly in demand, his work appearing regularly in The Guardian and the Economist. Gloucestershire-based Lo's lifelong love of children’s books have now led to his unforgettable animal characters being published around the world. Night Night, Otto is his fourth picture book for Rocket Bird Books, withi his other titles being nominated for the Carnegie Medal for illustration and the Sheffield Children’s Book Award.
