Ramsholt

Here, a handful of buildings on the River Deben become a stage on which centuries unfold: church and quay, graveyard and marsh, the traces of smuggling, slavery, war and work lingering in the air. As Shand Kydd walks the same fifty-minute circuit with his lurcher, he encounters a landscape alive with memory - Suffolk Punches and black poplars, otters, barn owls and vanished nightingales - and haunted by the stories of his own family.Ramsholt is both love letter and lament, a soft, powerful meditation on memory, nature, and the importance of home. This special edition of Ramsholt is limited to one hundred copies, each accompanied by a hand-printed 5 × 7-inch silver gelatin fibre print, signed and numbered by Johnnie Shand Kydd in 2026.
