    Beskrivning

Most people think they need more answers.More clarity. More confidence. More certainty. They don’t.They need space.Blank Space: Your Inside Job is a practical and thought-provoking guide to helping you step back from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with your own thinking. In a world full of pressure, expectation, and constant input, this book offers something different: the opportunity to pause, reflect, and create the mental space needed to make better decisions.Written by executive coach and leader Carol Campbell, this book blends real-life stories, coaching insights, and guided exercises to help you explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. It’s not about giving you all the answers. It’s about helping you ask better questions and trust what you already know.Whether you’re leading a team, navigating change, or simply feeling stuck despite doing everything “right”, this book meets you where you are.Inside, you’ll learn how to:Clear mental clutter and focus on what truly mattersBuild self-awareness and recognise the patterns shaping your decisionsMove from overthinking to clear, confident actionTrust your judgement without waiting for external validationLead yourself and others with greater clarity and intentionEach chapter is designed as a space to think, with a balance of storytelling, reflection, and practical exercises you can apply immediately. This is not a book you rush through. It’s one you return to, write in, and use as a tool for ongoing growth. At its core, Blank Space is about the “inside job”, the beliefs, habits, and assumptions that shape how you show up in your life and work. By creating space to understand these, you unlock the ability to move forward with greater confidence, purpose, and clarity. You don’t need more information. You don’t need a perfect plan. You just need the space to think clearly, choose deliberately, and trust what you already know.

    Mer om författaren

Carol Campbell is a wife, mother, executive coach, lifelong learner, and executive with over 25 years of experience across retail and hospitality.Starting in her hometown in Scotland, her career has followed a wonderfully squiggly path across three continents, from shop floor to boardroom and everything in between. She has led large teams, navigated complex transformations, and built a career helping organisations and individuals think more clearly about how they lead.Throughout her career, Carol became increasingly interested in the 'inside job' of leadership: the beliefs, habits, and assumptions that shape how we make decisions, show up under pressure, and influence others. Her work centres around the belief that in an increasingly complex world, leaders do not need more answers; they need space. Space to think. Space to decide. Space to lead. Blank Space was born from the recognition that if people create space, they can reconnect with their own judgement and lead with greater clarity and intention. When she isn’t coaching, writing, or leading, Carol can usually be found with her husband, son and Hamish the dog at their happy place on Loch Fyne, doing yoga; listening to curated playlists; journaling with an over-supply of pens and notebooks; or quietly observing the fascinating ways humans behave at work and in life. You can find Carol on LinkedIn or at www.inspiredclarity.co.uk.

    Recensioner i media

I bought Blank Space not really knowing what to expect… and I’m so glad I did. This isn’t your typical self-help book. It doesn’t tell you what to do or overwhelm you with information. Instead, it gives you something far more valuable… space to pause, think and reconnect with yourself.I found myself slowing down while reading it, reflecting more, and actually taking things in rather than rushing through it. It’s calm, honest and very easy to read, but it really stays with you.If you’re feeling a bit stuck or just need clarity without pressure, I’d definitely recommend this.A genuinely thoughtful read. AvidReader ***You will very quickly become invested in this book; I'm about halfway through after 4 days. For transparency, I know the author, but my purchase was not for support. I bought it because I know what she has achieved for the companies she has worked with and, more so, for the people within those organisations. It isn't the read I was expecting but is the book I 100% needed. The thought processes it encourages apply just as much to every day family life as they do to business/work/careers. I would describe it as a first-class coaching/mentoring session in your hands.Steven Massey
