Dr. Aung Naing is a Professor in the Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is also a Principal Investigator on immunotherapy-based clinical trials. Focusing on clinical translation of basic immunobiology, Dr. Naing’s research interests are (1) identifying immunologic biomarkers of response to immunotherapy, (2) predicting primary and secondary resistance to immunotherapy, (3) developing immunotherapeutic strategies to overcome resistance, and (4) identifying predictive markers for immune-related adverse events (irAE) associated with immunotherapies. Dr. Joud Hajjar is an Assistant Professor of Allergy and Immunology and serves as the service chief of adult allergy and immunology at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the Basic and Clinical Immunology Interest group at the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, and the Women in Clinical Immunology Committee at the Clinical Immunology Society. Dr. Hajjar's research interests are in inborn errors of immunity, microbiome in the immunocompromised host, and cancer immunotherapy.
