He has received ministerial appointments to oversee national projects on defence initiatives and also participate boards of state-owned enterprises such as Armscor SOC. He provides teaching and learning services for post-graduate students (masters and doctoral levels) at Stellenbosch University, Da Vinci Business School, and University of South Africa. He is one of the few chartered directors in South Africa, which is the ultimate qualification on corporate governance as accredited by the Institute of Directors of South Africa (IoDSA). Dr Khanyile holds a PhD (International Politics), Master of Business Leadership, Master of Arts (Politics), Bachelor of Laws and Honours Bachelor of Military Science.
