Supramolecular Chemistry

This book provides an accessible and timely introduction to the exciting interdisciplinary field of supramolecular chemistry. Starting with the principles that explain how molecules recognize each other and self-assemble non-covalently, an overview is given how these concepts can be used to create complex supramolecular architectures. One thus learns how to design functional molecular systems that serve as switches, motors, transporters, catalysts, chemosensors and much more. In 2022 this book won the Literature Prize of the German Chemical Industry Association VCI.
