Dr. Abdulhamid is currently the principal investigator of the Sustainable and Resilient Materials Lab in the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR), College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences (CPG), King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Dr. Abdulhamid has background in organic and polymer chemistry with main focus on developin novel polymers for various industrial applications. Dr. Abdulhamid has obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Science from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) followed by three years of postdoc. In 2021 he joined CPG to be a part of CIPR, where his reseach focuses on developing novel materials for water treatment, oil recovery, corroision and other. Dr. Abdulhamid authors more than 40 research publications and patents in addition to few book chapters.
