Die neutestamentliche Einleitungswissenschaft beschäftigt sich mit der Entstehungsgeschichte der 27 Bücher des Neuen Testaments. Infolge der Aufklärung und der »rein historischen Auslegung« – die Gottes Handeln in der Geschichte methodisch ausschließt – werden diese vor allem im deutschsprachigen Raum weitgehend spät datiert und damit ihrem historischen Kontext im Leben Jesu und der Apostel entfremdet. Diese Spätdatierung wird in dem vorliegenden Buch hinterfragt. Dabei spielen u. a. jüdische und altkirchliche Quellentexte sowie intertextuelle Studien eine größere Rolle, als das oft der Fall ist. Dadurch soll die Grundlage zu einem breiteren Verständnis der biblischen Botschaft vermittelt werden. Das Buch ist so konzipiert, dass es auch für »Anfänger der Theologie« verständlich ist.[Introduction to the New Testament]The scholarly discipline of the »Introduction to the New Testament« is concerned with the history of the origin of the 27 New Testament books. As a result of the Enlightenment and the »purely historical interpretation« – which methodically excludes God''s action in history – they are largely dated late, especially in German-speaking countries, and thus uprooted from their historical context in the lives of Jesus and the apostles. This late dating is questioned in the present book. Jewish and early church source texts as well as intertextual studies play a greater role in the present study than is often the case. This is intended to provide the basis for a broader understanding of the New Testament message. The book is designed to be understandable even for »beginners of theology«.
