German and Polish Perspectives on Migration, Refugee and Border Policy in Europe

Population migration is an integral part of the modern world. While this phenomenon is not new, its scale and global nature have taken on a new dimension in recent years. Migration has become a catalyst for political, social, economic, and cultural change worldwide, and is now a central topic in public and political debates in many countries. Today, states face the challenge of managing migration processes and developing effective migration and integration policies. A sound analysis of the issue is essential as a starting point for such efforts. This e-book aims to provide such an analysis. The contributions, written by political scientists, sociologists, economists, legal scholars, and experts in adult education, examine the experiences of Germany and Poland with migration, placing them within a broader European context.
