Urban street art is an art form that reflects society at the time the art work was created. It can be a remark on something in the media, current events, or it can be the artist's own personal comment. In street art the message is just as important as the motive. It is often a reaction, or a counter-reaction, to current affairs that the artist wants to communicate to the public. And street art is easily apprehended because of its simple visualisation. In the aftermath of July 22nd 2011, street art artists reacted in their own way to the horrendous acts carried out that day.
