Surgical Treatment of Pancreatic Diseases

Pancreatic diseases are a crucial issue not only because of their epidemiological significance, and their anatomical and metabolic complexity, but also because of the different treatment options available and their implications for surgery.

Due to the slow but steady increase in the incidence of pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, these diseases are today a real challenge for the surgeon.
