James, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Old Testament at Princeton Theological Seminary, and the author of An Invitation to Biblical Poetry (2021) and Landscapes of the Song of Songs: Poetry and Place (2017). Simeon B. Chavel, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible at the University of Chicago Divinity School. He has published on many aspects of biblical literature and the history and ideas of ancient Israel and Judah, including Oracular Law and Priestly Historiography in the Torah (Mohr Siebeck, 2014).
