World Social Report 2026

The World Social Report 2026 is the first World Social Report to be published following the adoption of the Doha Political Declaration on 4 November 2025 at the Second World Social Summit in Doha, Qatar. The Declaration underscored the need to ensure ongoing transformations, including digital transformation, to advance social inclusion. The report presents a new vision for making economic, digital, and green transformations work for all, positioning social inclusion not as a cost but as an essential investment in resilience and shared prosperity. It benchmarks countries’ progress towards socially inclusive transformation pathways and proposes a policy compact to strengthen adaptive capacities and inclusive institutions. It also calls for a fundamental shift in development planning, from reacting to crises to proactively governing the future.
