It also describes in detail the uses of tractors for various agricultural and non-agricultural operations. Furthermore, updates have been added on the different implements, equipment, and machinery that have been developed in India for various agricultural operations such as land preparation, sowing/planting, weeding, plant protection, harvest threshing, post-harvest, and agro-processing. Additional information has also been provided on special tools and equipment used in horticulture, water lifting devices, and the calibration of seed drills.The first edition of this book was widely used as a standard reference for graduate students in agricultural engineering and regular engineering colleges, and the current edition is expected to serve the same purpose.
