Collective excitations in Fermi and Bose systems are key phenomena in understanding the structure and dynamics of many-body systems with the manifestation of different statistics. This volume presents recent developments in atomic and nuclear physics which have revealed intriguing features which are under intense scrutiny by both theorists and experimentalists.
Plasma modes in superconductivity; Fermionic and Bosonic bubbles and foam; symmetry of collective excitations in nuclear and condensed matter Fermion systems; cold atoms collision and the scattering length; time dependent local density approximation - application of the collective electronic excitations in atomic clusters; semiclassical description of multiple giant dipole resonance excitation and decay; measuring the quantum state of the electromagnetic field; scaling properties and the behaviour of the nuclear giant dipole resonance under extreme conditions; condensate mixtures and tunnelling; octupole phase transition n lanthanide nuclei.
