I was pleased to note it was nowhere near the pastries (Gingermen today, well-pressed and roasted to a lovely brown colour), for one learned long ago that when the Visitation Known As "e;The Cold Sweats"e; was working round comestibles, unsightly mould upon the delicacies was the least of one's concerns about the snacks. Rather like a fog-bank, the Visitation was on clean-up duty, making the most of its natural gifts, as it were.
