Long Hard Road

What happens to a dream when life keeps giving you perfectly good reasons to put it aside? In A Long Hard Road, Tom Sykes looks back at a life spent moving between music, the entertainment business, filmmaking, family, success, failure, and more than a few wrong turns. Along the way, the thing he kept putting aside was the thing that never quite went away.Told with humor and without pretending to have all the answers, this is a story about what happens when the creative part of you refuses to stay quiet, even after you've gotten very good at ignoring it.It's not really a book about achieving a dream. It's about discovering what a dream becomes when it survives longer than the person who first imagined it.
